The Ennedi Tiger is supposedly a living Sabertooth cat that is living on the Ennedi Plateau, located in the east of Chad in the Sub-Saharan Africa. There are reports of two species, one that is in the mountains and the other one is one that inhabits the water. The mountain one is larger than a lion and doesn’t have a tail. The teeth protrude from its mouth, and the feet are hairy. It is red or reddish brown with white stripes and it is strong enough to carry off very large antelopes. It is nocturnal and is a cave dweller.
The water one is said to be larger than a larger and very fierce and has protruding teeth as well. The colors are red with white markings to leopard-like with stripes and even to uniform brown. The teeth are described as walrus-like and the tail is long. The descriptions sound like a sabertooth cat to western explorers, but there is not a lot of information on it.
